| New York Slaps 5-2 Loss on Toronto | The New York Stars got a good effort from starter Willie Stewart in defeating the Toronto Beavers at Maumee Park II. The final score was 5-2. New York is now 26-30, Toronto 30-25.
New York center fielder Joe Allman contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 66th hit of the season and put the Stars ahead, 4-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said New York skipper Eli Moses.
