| Yokohama Gets 8-3 Win | Though the conditions were not ideal, the Yokohama Kingfishers and Denki Dynamics came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
The Yokohama Kingfishers beat the Denki Dynamics, 8-3, at Kanda Stadium. The win was due in part to third baseman Fujimaro Sonoda, who went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Kinzo Yoshimura, the winner, is now 3-1. He struck out 1 and walked 2 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 6 hits.
Sukeyasu Arakawa had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the third for Yokohama. With the bases loaded and the Kingfishers leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Sonoda told the Yokohama Times.
Yokohama has now won 3 straight, while the Dynamics have lost 3 in a row.
