| Kyoto 4-1 Losers to Reliables | The Hosho Reliables and Kyoto Owls completed their game despite the rain.
Takashi Masuda was masterful in helping the Hosho Reliables take down the Kyoto Owls, 4-1. The Owls have now dropped 5 straight.
Ryunosuke Kodama, who is tied for 9th in the EL in bases on balls with 14, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kodama contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Hosho up, 1-0.
Afterward, Reliables manager Shun Kawamura said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
