It might have been a rain-shorted game, but the hometown crowd didn't seem to mind.

Rakisuta turned a good effort from starter Shigeyoshi Taira into a win over the Denki Dynamics at Rakisuta Stadium. The Rams won the game, 3-1. The Rams improved their record to 13-18 by beating Denki.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Rams had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when left fielder Go Yagi hit a 2-run single. The single came off Tekkan Mihara and made the score 3-1, Rams. Yagi went 2-3 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.

"I had my mind made up to go the distance," said Taira.
