| Reliables 4-2 Winners Over Rakisuta | Hosho Reliables starter Niou Nagao was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Rakisuta Rams, 4-2. The winner was Nagao. He threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Kiyoshige Abe. Tadahito Koike closed it out for his 2nd save.
Hosho went up, 4-1, on Senichi Kawakami's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Kawakami hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Rakisuta pitcher Kiyoshige Abe shaking his head.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Reliables manager Shun Kawamura. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
The win gives Hosho a record of 13-11.
