| Kingfishers Flatten Dynamics, 11-2 | The first-place Yokohama Kingfishers picked up another win.
The Yokohama Kingfishers stopped the Denki Dynamics, 11-2, at Kanagawa Stadium. The Kingfishers got a big game from Souhei Tamura, who went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Earning his 4th save of the year was Naruki Shimada.
Tamura contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Yokohama in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-1, Tamura took a fastball from Yoshimatsu Shiina and stroked the home run to center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Kingfishers to leap in front, 4-2.
"We put the pedal to the metal," said Tamura.
Yokohama goes to 28-16. The win puts them 3½ games up in their division.
