| Keystones Prevail, 4-3, Over Boston | The Philadelphia Keystones and Boston Minutemen played an entertaining game for Liberty Coliseum patrons.
Doc Carver, who is a two-time All-Star, had a strong outing for the Philadelphia Keystones against the Boston Minutemen at Liberty Coliseum. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Carver picked up the win for Philadelphia, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1.
Joe Landry went 1 for 3 with a walk for Philadelphia. The slugging right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bill Kelly. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"Both teams played hard," said Philadelphia manager Charlie Leist.
