| Kaneshige Excels in 7-4 Yokohama Win | Yokohama defeated Denki, 7-4, in large part due to 25-year old right fielder Thoki Kaneshige. Kaneshige drove in 4 runs. The right fielder had 2 doubles and 1 home run for the Kingfishers. Toshinori Osada, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The win brings the Kingfishers to 10-7, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
In the bottom of the third, Yokohama center fielder Souhei Tamura had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Tamura stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 3-1, Yokohama. For the game, he was 1-4.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Tamura, "and then get after it again."
