Walk-Off Win Makes Hosho 16-7
Sapporo wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Yamada Yamanaka, falling to the Hosho Reliables, 4-3. Yamanaka threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Hosho reliever Junya Yamagata, now 2-0. The loser was Eisaku Yamaoka. Hosho is off to a hot start at 16-7.

Billy McCullough was the walk-off hero for Hosho. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Reliables third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said McCullough.
