The Philadelphia Keystones defeated the Minneapolis Millers, 4-1, in Federal Association action at Liberty Coliseum. Philadelphia pitcher Alfredo Jimenez had a standout performance. Jimenez got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 2 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Jim Steuber locked down his 19th save.

Ed Walter dealt the Millers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Philadelphia leading 2-1, Walter hit a full count fastball for a 2-run single.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Walter.

The win makes Philadelphia 57-70.
