| Kings Get Past Cincinnati, 3-2 | The Seattle Kings, despite a fine performance by Cincinnati pitcher Moe Powell, grabbed a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Seattle Municipal Stadium. Powell allowed 2 runs over 6 innings. The win was credited to Billy Collins in relief. His record improves to 8-6. Jack Meeks took the loss. Seattle bumps their record to 77-49 with the win.
The Kings got a clutch hit from right fielder Bob Glowacki. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Kings.
"We gutted it out and got the 'W'," said Glowacki.
