| Chicago Tacks 4-0 Loss on Montreal | Chicago Cougars starter Bob Goldman found his groove in his team's 4-0 win over the Montreal Saints. Augie Hicks got the save, his 13th in 18 chances. Chicago now has a record of 68-59 with the win.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Goldman was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Montreal trailing 1-0, Goldman retired Ken Steinbach, who grounded out. | |
