The Dallas Wranglers picked up a win at Forester Stadium, knocking off the Cleveland Foresters, 3-2. On the mound for Dallas was right-hander Ed Smith. He played a key role in the triumph. Johnny Manning got credit for the save for Dallas. It was his 5th of the year. The third-place Wranglers now have a record of 70-56.

Dallas took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Fred Hott hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Wranglers in front, 3-2.

Dallas manager George Waller called it "a darn good win."
