Big Day for Keen as Foresters Down Sailors, 7-3
At Forester Stadium, the San Francisco Sailors and Cleveland Foresters were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Cleveland Foresters topped the San Francisco Sailors, 7-3, with youngster Steve Keen playing a key role. Keen went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times for the Foresters in the win. Picking up the save was fan favorite Bob V James.

Cleveland pitcher Roy Rice helped the Foresters go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Rice hit a run-scoring single off San Francisco pitcher Bunky Paine.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Foresters," said Keen.
