Clippers Win Nail-Biter
The Baltimore Clippers in 10 innings downed the Houston Comets, 7-6, at Dalton Domed Stadium. Hank Wallace led the way, going 2-for-4 for Baltimore. Davey Cronin picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-7. Joe Barnes was tagged with the loss. Baltimore is now 58-68, Houston 66-59.

Baltimore used a timely hit from Jack Goodman to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Clippers ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Baltimore manager Hank Luckenbaugh.
