Houston Comets starter Joe McCarthy found his groove in his team's 4-1 win over the Boston Minutemen. The losses continue to mount for Boston, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

In the top of the fifth, Houston right fielder John Edwards had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and two out, Edwards stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 3-1, Houston. For the game, he was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
