| Foresters Bag 1-0 Win | Starting pitcher Larry Warren gave the Cleveland Foresters a rock-solid effort. The Exeter, California native helped his team defeat the San Francisco Sailors, 1-0, at Forester Stadium. Warren, now 6-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Bob V James converted his 27th save in 31 tries.
The Foresters got a big at-bat from second baseman Gus Randall. For the game, Randall was 2 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 12th double of the season gave Cleveland a 1-0 lead.
