The exploits of center fielder Bill Powell, who is tied for 10th in the FA with a .884 OPS, helped the Minneapolis Millers defeat the New York Gothams, 11-2. Powell went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win elevated the Millers to 65-60.
