| Saints Suffer 4-2 Road Loss | The Cincinnati Cannons locked up a win at Tice Memorial Stadium II, knocking off the Montreal Saints, 4-2. On the mound for Cincinnati was right-hander Milo Kennedy. He played a major role in the triumph. Earl White wrapped it up, recording his 1st save. The loss puts Montreal at 1-3.
Chief Williams drew 1 walk for Cincinnati. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Williams, who finished 4th in the CA in wins above replacement with 5.8 in 1972, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Montreal hurler Jose Martinez, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Cannons a 3-2 lead.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Williams said.
