| Copperheads Handle Baltimore, Snag 6-2 Win | Atlanta registered a win at Peachtree Stadium by beating the Baltimore Clippers, 6-2. Pitcher Howie Burt was one reason why the Copperheads triumphed. Atlanta reliever Bill Hunn picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Larry Warren was saddled with the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the Copperheads have raced to a strong start this season.
Atlanta took a 4-2 lead on Gus Richards's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Richards hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Baltimore pitcher Larry Warren visibly frustrated.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Richards told the Atlanta Times. | |
