| Owls Kikuchi Fires No-Hitter | Kyoto is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Seishiro Kikuchi.
The 25-year-old hurler was dominating against the Rakisuta Rams, leading the Owls to a 2-0 win at Owls Park.
"I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Rakisuta manager Bob Lester said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game."
Kikuchi had 5 strikeouts and gave up no walks en route to the no-hitter.
"Yeah, this was a special day for me," Kikuchi said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today."
