| Dynamics Drop 3-1 Decision to Kingfishers | The Yokohama Kingfishers and Denki Dynamics played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
In a tight game between the Yokohama Kingfishers and the Denki Dynamics, pitcher Kinzo Yoshimura was terrific on the mound. The Yokohama right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Yoshimura yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-1. The save went to Matsuta Mori, his 2nd this season.
Shinji Fukuda came through for Yokohama when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a two-strike slider to right-center field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Coming in, from the get-go, I knew my stuff was good," said Yoshimura.
The win puts Yokohama at 12-11.
