| Denki Topples Yokohama, 3-2 | It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Dynamics fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.
In a low-scoring affair between the Denki Dynamics and the Yokohama Kingfishers, pitcher Takehiro Moriyama was the difference between victory and defeat. The Denki right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Dynamics win. With the win, Denki lifts its record to 12-9.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Dynamics had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fourth, when third baseman Tsutomu Takahashi hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Munenao Shintani and made the score 2-1, Dynamics. Takahashi was 1-1 with a walk.
"Takehiro's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Carl Johnson, the Dynamics manager. | |
