| Rams Get Past Hosho, 5-4 | The rain came, as predicted, but the Rakisuta Rams and Hosho Reliables were able to complete their ballgame.
Hosho catcher Yorihiko Kawata had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Kawata went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Rakisuta beat the Reliables, 5-4. Gunji Matsuda got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Rakisuta took a 5-4 lead on Shouta Fukushima's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Fukushima hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Hosho pitcher Kiyoharu Kawamoto visibly frustrated.
"I was a little disappointed," said Hosho manager Shun Kawamura. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The loss drops the Reliables to 13-8.
