| Owls Earn Late 4-3 Win | Owls Park played host to some dramatic action.
The Kyoto Owls racked up a win at Owls Park, bumping off the Yokohama Kingfishers, 4-3, in 10 innings. Michinaga Sekiguchi, who started for Kyoto, pitched effectively for his team. The win belonged to Kenshin Kon in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Taishi Yoshimura took the loss for Yokohama.
Kyoto got a knockout punch from Hiroshi Yamashita. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"It took some doing, but we got what we came for," said Owls manager Tomoya Nagao.
The Kingfishers, now 5-17, continue their poor start.
