| Reliables Winners, 9-1, Over Rams | The rain did not keep Hosho and Rakisuta from finishing their game.
The Hosho Reliables pinned a convincing loss on the Rakisuta Rams, 9-1, at Rakisuta Stadium. Billy McCullough was a main factor in the win. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Hosho. Shihei Saito picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-2 on the season. He struck out 0 and walked 1 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run.
With Hosho leading 3-0 in the top of the second, McCullough came up to bat against Rakisuta pitcher Kinya Wada. McCullough hit a splitter to left for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Reliables on top, 6-0.
"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Kinzo Yoshimura.
The Reliables, now 15-5, have played some good baseball in the early going.
