Nomura slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Rams. Kinya Wada, who went 8.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 6 runs on 7 hits, while walking 8 and striking out 1. His record now stands at 2-1. The Kingfishers, now 4-14, continue their inauspicious start.
Seisuke Kamo had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the first for Rakisuta. With the bases loaded and the Rams leading 1-0, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
