| Smith Hits 2 home runs in Reliables Win | Due in large part to second baseman Yasunori Smith, the Hosho Reliables sunk the Denki Dynamics, 7-0. Smith slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Shinki Kimura earned the win to go to 3-1. He allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in 8 innings of work. The Reliables raised their record to 12-7.
In the top of the second of a scoreless game, Smith hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
