| Reliables Win, 3-1, at Kyoto | The 3-1 Hosho win over Kyoto was due in large part to Tomohiko Hamano. The Reliables center fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Hosho goes to 9-5.
Hamano had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Naizen Sano, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Reliables a 3-1 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Hamano.
"We put on our big boy pants and went to work," said Hamano.
