| Reliables Use Late Rally to Win | Hosho pitcher Niou Nagao did his part in helping his team beat the Denki Dynamics, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Kinichi Ota earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. The win puts Hosho at 7-5.
Yamahiko Hirata came through with a big-time hit for Hosho. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Hirata called the win "a team effort."
