| Kingfishers Tag Reliables with 5-2 Loss | Yokohama and Hosho got after it at Nagoya Minami Stadium.
The Yokohama Kingfishers faced a tough opponent in Hosho pitcher Eichiro Ueno, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Nagoya Minami Stadium by a final score of 5-2. Ueno went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Toshinori Osada finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Yokohama used the timely hitting of Tokita Oishi to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Oishi told the Yokohama Herald.
Yokohama is now 4-4.
