| Rams Win, 6-5, at Yokohama | The Rakisuta Rams topped the Yokohama Kingfishers, 6-5, in Eastern League action at Kanagawa Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Rakisuta pitcher and Iida, Japan, native Masakado Matsuda. In 6 innings, Matsuda surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. He allowed 4 runs. The loss drops the Kingfishers to 4-4.
Rakisuta took the lead, 6-4, on Mutsuhito Ezaki's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Yokohama pitcher Katsusaburo Yagi in the top of the eighth.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Matsuda.
