Kyoto pitcher Matashichi Matsunaga contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 1st hit of the season and put the Owls ahead, 7-4.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Matsunaga.
