| Yokohama 2-1 Win Hard-Earned | The Denki Dynamics got a superb performance from pitcher Tekkan Mihara. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Yokohama. The Kingfishers won the game, 2-1. Mihara threw 10.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Yokohama reliever NorogumiOda Tominaga snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Atsumi Shibata shouldered the loss. The win has Yokohama at 3-4.
Katsuaki Ishikawa, who led the EL in stolen bases with 72 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ishikawa contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the 12th inning to put Yokohama up, 2-1.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Carl Johnson.
