| Dynamics Beat Kingfishers, 4-2 | Denki pitcher Tsuneari Nakai had a large part in his team beating the Yokohama Kingfishers, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Nakai, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Earning his 1st save of the year was Tatsunori Tanoue.
Had Ikuo Muramoto not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Muramoto hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Dynamics.
"I liked his command," said Denki manager Carl Johnson. "Tsuneari was throwing strikes."
The win takes Denki to 3-3.
