| Kingfishers Score Late to Beat Dynamics, 2-1 | The Kingfishers faced a stiff challenge from Denki pitcher Yoshitsune Nakamura, but persevered to claim a win at Kanda Stadium. The final score was 2-1. Nakamura went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Matsuta Mori notched his 1st save of the season. Denki is 2-3 after the loss.
Yokohama used the timely hitting of Ken'ichi Matsuda to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Kingfishers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Denki manager Tadashi Iwamoto.
