Dunham Drills 2 Homers in 5-3 Hosho Win
The Hosho Reliables beat the Yokohama Kingfishers, 5-3, at Kanagawa Stadium. Hank Dunham, who finished 3rd in the EL in stolen bases with 20 in 1966, starred for Hosho. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Shihei Saito was the winning pitcher. Over 7.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. Picking up his 1st save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher Motomu Taira.

Hosho took a 4-2 lead on Dunham's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Chosuke Tsugawa in the top of the eighth, propelled Hosho to the win.

"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Hosho manager Shun Kawamura.

The loss drops Yokohama to 0-2.
