| Mavericks Make It 9 Straight Losses | The Milwaukee Arrows topped the Kansas City Mavericks, 5-1, in Continental Association action at Prairie Park. The standout performance belonged to Milwaukee pitcher and Hartford, Connecticut, native Red Burtch. The first-place Arrows go to 68-56.
The Arrows got a big hit from third baseman Jay Dynes. Facing Kansas City pitcher Dave Dalton in the top of the fifth, Dynes pounded a solo home run to right. His 6th home run of the season put the Arrows ahead, 3-1.
Kansas City manager Sakan Hashizume, after yet another defeat, said: "We need to recalibrate."
