| Wranglers Suffer 7-4 Road Loss | The Toronto Wolves downed the Dallas Wranglers, 7-4. The hitting star was first baseman Bob Reynolds. Reynolds went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Wolves. Ray Smith earned his 14th save in 16 chances. The loss makes Dallas 64-59.
Pat Kellison had a big grand slam home run for the Wolves in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Toronto leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he sized up a cutter from 37-year old right-handed pitcher Otey Stevens and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Wolves on top, 7-2.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Kellison. | |
