At Hennepin County Stadium, the Minneapolis Millers and New York Gothams were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Led by Ed Davis, the New York Gothams downed the Minneapolis Millers, 8-4. Davis was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Gothams. New York is now 59-65, Minneapolis 64-60.

Second Baseman Dutch Eckelberry made an impact for New York, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Bob Ciaramella in the top of the second. For the contest, Eckelberry was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.
