Montreal Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Montreal pitcher Tommy Jackson did his part in helping his team beat the San Francisco Sailors, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win was credited to two-time All-Star Miguel Hernandez in relief. His record improves to 9-7. Ralph Pierce took the loss. The Saints move to 58-65 with the win, while the Sailors drop to 58-65.

The Saints got a clutch hit from left fielder Jim Smith. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Saints.
