| Teal Brings A-Game, Sailors Beat Foresters | Jim Teal, who is tied for 3rd in the CA in strikeouts with 142, was locked in. The right-hander led the San Francisco Sailors to a 2-0 win against the Cleveland Foresters at Forester Stadium. At 57-67, the Sailors are currently 4th in the Continental Association West.
Teal earned the win, going 7 strong innings for San Francisco. The native of Kansas City, Missouri, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 8. Cleveland hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"Jim was cool as a cucumber," said San Francisco manager Bob Harris.
