| Sailors Edge Wolves, 3-2 | In a low-scoring clash between San Francisco and Toronto, pitcher Zane Kelley was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Sailors win. Kelley picked up the win for San Francisco, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 9-5. Eddie Chapman converted his 21st save in 26 tries.
San Francisco used a well-timed hit by Larry McLaren to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Sailors ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"This was a tough loss," said Toronto manager Randy Hohlt. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
The Sailors sit in 4th place in the Continental Association with a record of 69-52.
