Sailors Beat Foresters, 6-4, at Golden Gate Stadium | San Francisco parlayed a decent outing from starter Eddie Chapman into a solid win over the Cleveland Foresters. The final score was 6-4. Roy Rice picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 9-8. Rufus Barrell II, who is tied for 8th in the CA in innings pitched with 226.1, was tagged with the loss. Davey Chamberlain was called on to finish, recording his 11th save.
San Francisco right fielder Edwin Hackberry helped the Sailors go up, 6-4, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Hackberry hit a 2-run single off Cleveland pitcher Johnny Ogden.
