| Butler Stars in 11-10 Clippers Win | The Baltimore Clippers beat the Detroit Dynamos, 11-10, in part because of left fielder Hank Butler. He went 3-3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The 4th-place Clippers go to 64-59.
In the bottom of the seventh, Butler put his team in front with his 5th triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which came against Charlie Christianson, made it 10-8, Baltimore.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Butler told the Baltimore Citizen.
