Toronto took on Cincinnati in front of a lively crowd.

The Cincinnati Cannons went down to defeat to Jim Jackson and his Toronto teammates. The final score was 3-1, in favor of the Wolves. Jackson, now 4-7, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 9, walking 3, and allowing 1 run.

Toronto used the clutch hitting of Ray Smith to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Wolves the lead, 3-1. For the game, Smith had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Smith said.

The last-place Wolves hiked their record to 59-93.
