Foresters Reel In 7-3 Win | Cleveland left fielder Tom Carr contributed significantly to his team's 7-3 win over the San Francisco Sailors. Carr, who led the CA in OPS with .990 in 1956, went 4 for 6 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Foresters. Cleveland, now 87-65, holds down first place in the Continental Association.
Stan Kleminski had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the fourth for Cleveland. With the bases loaded and the Foresters leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Kleminski told the Cleveland Bulletin. | |
