| Baltimore Grabs 7-3 Road Win | Due in large part to right fielder Ike Barnett, the Baltimore Clippers sunk the Detroit Dynamos, 7-3. Barnett was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Clippers raised their record to 55-67.
Harry Simmons, who is tied for 8th in the FA in bases on balls with 72, helped out the Baltimore cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4 with a walk.
Baltimore manager Hank Luckenbaugh was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
