Suns Get Past Baltimore for 4-3 Win
Thanks in large part to left fielder Bill Calvin, the Los Angeles Suns beat the Baltimore Clippers, 4-3. Calvin went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Alex Briggs picked up the save, his 6th. At 68-55, the Suns have a slim two-game lead in the Federal Association West.

Calvin had a timely hit for Los Angeles in the top of the ninth. With Los Angeles trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-2 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season, making it 4-3, Los Angeles.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Calvin.
