Saints March On, Beat Wolves, 5-0 | The Montreal Saints defeated the Toronto Wolves, 5-0, in Continental Association action at Stade Montreal. Montreal pitcher Jerry Duncan had a standout performance. Duncan picked up the win for Montreal, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 9-8. Montreal has run its win streak to 6 in a row.
The Saints got a big at-bat from third baseman Ralph Hanson. For the game, Hanson was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while adding 4 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 10th triple of the season gave Montreal a 2-0 lead.
