| Cougars Win at Home, 2-1 | The Chicago Cougars claimed a close win over the Toronto Wolves, due in large part to Bob Goldman. The Chicago right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. The win for the Cougars lifted their record to 66-56.
The Cougars got a big at-bat from left fielder Bill Rawdon. For the game, Rawdon went 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Chicago a 2-1 lead.
"Tough loss," said Toronto manager Carl Evans. "Tough one to swallow." | |
