| Imperials Handed 8-6 Loss by Los Angeles | The Los Angeles Stars withstood an impressive performance by New York shortstop Walt Bantle to defeat the Imperials, 8-6, at Bigsby Stadium. Bantle went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Cal Johnston, who is tied for 10th in the CA with a 1.24 WHIP, was the winner. He's now 9-7. The loser was John Billops. The win puts Los Angeles at 72-47 this season.
