| Gothams Take Down Millers, 6-0 | The New York Gothams went home winners at Hennepin County Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Harry Hayward. Hayward stifled the Minneapolis Millers, enabling New York to grab the 6-0 win. The winner was Hayward. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Hank Wagner. New York sits in second place in the Federal Association East at 68-53.
In the top of the eighth, 33-year old third baseman Jon Horton hit a 2-run single to center. The single, which was hit off of Ben Baird, gave New York a 4-0 lead.
Horton said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
