When he batted in the bottom of the tenth, Don Barker had a golden opportunity to change the game's outcome. Philadelphia pitcher Buzz Lucas was determined not to let him. But with one out, Barker grounded out, driving in 1 run -- and the Chiefs had a suspense-filled triumph.
Barker said he "would like to have scored more runs for Lucas. But we'll gladly take this win."
